HEXA_IN est l'occasion d'accueillir des artistes-chercheurs internationaux afin de venir penser et travailler à Montréal. Les invités peuvent être présents pour une rencontre, un atelier ou une résidence dans le but de générer une situation particulière d'échanges autour d'intérêts communs avec les membres d'Hexagram et de la communauté montréalaise. Ces invitations dont la forme et la durée ne sont pas prédéterminées créent des conditions exceptionnelles entre chercheurs, et sont accompagnées d'évènements publics.
HEXA_IN is a special opportunity for a member to invite international artist-researchers to think and work in Montreal. This creates the possibility for a meeting, a workshop or a residency whereby shared interests in research-creation are explored with Hexagram members and the Montreal artistic community. These invitations are not predetermined in format or duration. They are a unique opportunity for researchers to exchange ideas and methods and also include public events.

Cet atelier de recherche-création vise à proposer un plan d’action générale permettant d’envisager de manière critique et novatrice la pratique de l’art public à l’époque des médias urbains numériques. La démarche s’apparentera à un processus de négociation visant à rédiger un manifeste artistique d’une seule page.

This research-creation workshop aims to propose a general action plan on how to consider the critical and innovative practices of public art in the era of urban digital media. The approach is close to a negociation process of writing a single page artistic manifesto.
